Roger Thomas Howe is the William E. Ayer Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He received the MS and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the UC Berkeley in 1981 and 1984 respectively.〔(Stanford bio )〕 He taught at M.I.T. before returning to Berkeley for his teaching career until 2006, when he moved to Stanford. He is well known for his contributions to the field of silicon micromachining and is often identified as one of the forefathers of Micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS), and is highly regarded as one of the top professors at Stanford University. ==References==
